Our theme this year is AMKE the Album and we're bringing you the coolest musical guests!
Nobuo Uematsu
He's been called the John Williams of the video game world, and the description is apt. Born in Kouchi City, Japan on March 21, 1959,
Nobuo started playing the piano at the age of 12 and has never been formerly taught. By his own admition, he said he wanted to learn
to play the piano because he wanted to be like Elton John.
After finishing high school, Nobuo graduated from University of Kanagawa and his major was suprisingly not music! When Nobuo turned 22,
he joined many amateur bands as a keyboard player, but he discovered that he loved writing music more then playing, so he decided to
pursue a career as a composer and sent out many demo tapes to many companies. One of them finally hired him to write some music
for radio CM.
In 1985, one of Nobuo's friend, who was working at a video game company called Squaresoft, asked Nobuo if he wanted to write music
for some of their video games and the rest is history.
In his spare time, Nobuo enjoys listening to Irish music, watching Japanese pro wrestling, drinking/making beer and learning how to play
the Fiddle. Nobuo left squaresoft in 2004 to form his own production company 'smile please', and is still very much active as a free
lance composer in the game/film industry.

ARC IMPULSE
ARC IMPULSE, hailing from Chicago, is a group of friends from varying musical backgrounds who have joined forces
over their common love for rocking your favorite video game music. Their sound has evolved through the years to
bring you a truly unique kind of video game synth rock you've never heard before!
Midwest Karaoke Madness
Midwest Karaoke Madness is an eclectic group of veteran con-goers that noticed a distinct lack of revelry at
conventions. These plucky young people decided that it was their calling, nay, their duty to amuse and entertain
their fellow attendees. So, that’s exactly what they do... with the power of music!
This troupe has delighted the masses at many conventions, such as Anime Central, Anime Milwaukee, and Kollision
Con. They bring as much music as their binders can contain (somewhere around 10,000 songs) ranging from Anime
and Disney to 80’s Pop and Party Rock.
